linuxaudio.org
Salut,
je viens de faire une demande de principe à l'organisation linuxaudio.org pour savoir ce que chacun pourrait tirer d'une adhésion 'officielle' de linuxmao.org dans cette communauté. Peut-être cela apportera de nouvelles idées...:
---
Dear Ico,
I'm involved for two years now in a french language website which attempts to collect and maintain information, tutorials, presentations on linuxaudio software. Our community is growing, and we have in the past had a couple of meetings for exchange between users.
We have 2000 registered members , although you know that this is not a very good figure for determining the size of the actual community. More realistic, there are around 50 people (from France, Canada, Switzerland and Germany) active in and around the tikiwiki resource at the moment.
Unlike linuxaudio.org, we have nothing new to propose for audio software development, however, we interact as we can with the developer community, and also try to reach the linux distributions with feedback and suggestions, and try to increase the LAU visibility.
So I was wondering whether either or both of our communities would benefit from us becoming member at linuxaudio.org? Many of us are following LAU mailing list and/or #LAD on the IRC anyway, and who knows, maybe other ways of communication could arise from our membership with you?
We are not a registered association and have no hierarchy atm, just an active friendly community. You can have a look at linuxmao.org if you are interested.
Could you please tell me what possibilities we have and what a membership at linuxaudio.org would imply for us? I can then talk back to the others.
Looking forward to your answer
Kind Regards
