Bonjour,

Je viens d'acquérir l'interface audio : Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 qui est donc opérationnelle officiellement sous Linux, et que certains sur ce forum utilisent.

J'utilise Ubuntu 14-04 LTS sur deux ordinateurs : un domestique et un portable.

L'interface fonctionne avec le pc domestique et pas sur le portable.

OK, y a peut être une piste à creuser du côté du kernel car je viens d'installer la version 13.3 sur ce portable ; version qui elle est installée sur le pc domestique ... j'ai redémarré ; mais rien à faire pour le moment QJackCtl m'affiche ce message d'erreur :

L'interface n'apparaît pas dans pulseaudio ; et via QJackCtl même message d'erreur :
DBUS : impossible de démarrer le serveur JACK. Désolé

Je viens de couper l'interrupteur d'alimentation de l'inteface audio, puis j'ai rallumé.
Jack ne se lance pas mieux ... mais l'interface est apparue dans pulseaudio dans l'onglet "sortie" ; mais n'apparaît pas dans l'onglet "entrée".

J'obtiens ceci :

J'ai testé la sortie monitoring, et les deux sorties casques. Elles reçoivent toutes la sortie stéréo Left/Right.

Pour le reste j'en suis toujours au même point.

Je viens de redémarrer le pc et là c'est nickel : QJackCtl a pu se lancer.

A noter qu'avec une version de kernel inférieure à 3.19 la Scarlett fonctionne, mais pas son mixer. On peut donc démarrer Qjack et faire des enregistrement avec Ardour, mais pas utiliser le mixer interne de la carte.

Avec le kernel 3.19++ le mixer est activé. A ce jours seul Ubuntu 15.04 intègre un kernel 3.19, pour toutes les autres il faut ajouter un repo pour avoir accès aux derniers kernels stables (c'est pas compliqué, mais il faut le faire)

Pour Jack, j'ai posté voila déjà quelque temps un script qui gère pas mal de cas tordus, notamment le changement de nom des cartes quand on les branche/débranche. Le script est dispo sur http://www.fridu.org/download/sample/QjackCtrlSH.tgz et la video sur http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1x3zb3_linux-pulse-jack-scarlette-18i8_tech

J'ai aussi posté une video pour l'utilisation du Mixer Scarlett mais j'ai pas encore pris le temps de faire une version en Francais, la version Anglaise est dispo sur https://vimeo.com/user36538868/alsa-html5-mixer

Attention: cette carte n'est pas vraiment supporté par PulseAudio car pulse audio est prévu pour 2 entrées et que la carte en à 18!!! Pour la sortie par contre on peut faire un mapping 7.1, mais ca n'a pas vraiment d’intérêt. La vraie valeur de cette carte c'est de pouvoir être utilisé avec Ardour ou équipement pour faire des enregistrements multi-piste.
