Hello,

toujours aussi NOOB

bref ...

j'ai toujours mon probleme de NVIDIA, mais je crois connaitre la source

en fait j'ai un beau No Screen Found au démarage de XORG

d'après mes recherches, il faudrai que je reconfigure X grace a xorgconfig, seulement il n'est pas installé sur 64studio. comment faire ? dois-je recompiler Xorg ? j'aime pas trop avoir à compiler ... y'a t'il moyen de modifier directement mon xorg.conf manuellement ?

mon écran LCD est un Daewoo 17' référence LCD17DWM ...

Hum ... de rien, j'ai rien vu qui cloche dans ta conf sad

Par contre, tu dois avoir un fichier "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" ou équivalent ... le fichier est long, mais tu devrais trouver à la fin des lignes avant le plantage qui nous mettront peut-être sur une piste ...

Quel kernel utilise tu?
Si c'est le 2.6.19 en 32 bits essaye le driver nv à la place de vesa.
Si c'est le 2.6.19 en 64 bits tu peux installer le driver nvidia 64studio.

Ce driver tout prêt n'existe pas en 32bits chez 64studio et il y a un malheureux bug dans le paquet du kernel 2.6.19 32 bits qui empêche de compiler des modules noyaux, donc notament le drivier nvidia...

oui j'utilise le 2.6.19.2 ... en 32 bits Athlon 2500+ oblige. mon problème avec les drivers NV c'est que je n'ai qu'une seule résolution disponible dans le selecteur ... 640*480 ce qui est un peu limite ... je ne sais pas comment changer celà.

j'ai essayé d'installer les drivers proprio NVIDIA mais j'ai jamais réussi et je ne veux pas me lancer dans une compilation de noyau. (à vrai dire j'ai essayé et tout planté)

j'ai upgradé en version testing ... et les drivers Vesa marchent plus de toute facon, je suis repassés aux NV mais en 640*480 je vais pas aller loin ....

D'abord fait une copie de secours de /etc/X11/xorg.conf puis réduit la section "Screen" ainsi

( en supposant que la résolution de l'écran soit de 1280x1024 )

bref en fait le log sans la modif de config montre que xorg croit que tout autre résolution que 640*480 est out of range ... dixit

Le log dit que X ne trouvant pas ton écran ne sait quelle configuration choisir et utilise ses valeurs par défaut qui ne sont pas adaptées du tout.
Alors modifie la section Monitor ainsi :

Avec ça nv devrait marcher...

Je me suis permis de retoucher ton Xorg.log (balises ~pp~ et ~/pp~) pour y désactiver la mise en forme automatique du site qui rendait le fil illisible wink

Et bien super, merci jdlv cool, La résolution était limité à 640 X 480 et gràce à ces réglages:

Cela a fonctionné smile (carte vidéo intégrée GeForce 4 Mx, pilotes Nv)

Je rajoute ces quelques indications dans le tuto 64 Studio wink
