Bonjour à tous,

Je suis un récent détenteur d'une Focusrite 18i8. J'ai testé ma carte dès son arrivée dans ma boite aux lettres et il n'y avait aucun problème au premier abord. Aujourd'hui je redémarre mon PC pour me faire une petite cession Ardour et miracle : plus de son ni entrant ni sortant alors que les entrées et sorties sont bien signalées sur jack.

Voici les résultats des commandes suivantes :

À noter également que contrairement à ce qu'indique la documentation, sur Alsamixer je n'ai aucun contrôle sur les différents canaux, sont seulement affichés : ADAT Validity, Clock Source, Internal Validity S/PDIF Validity avec toutes les valeurs à 0.

D'autre part, j'ai l'impression d'avoir un "matériel supplémentaire" dans JACK, nommé PulseAudio JackSink, le problème pourrait-il venir d'ici ?

Avec qasmixer, est-ce que tu peux regarder les niveaux de sortie de la carte ?

Le pulse audio jack sink, c'est un plugin pulseaudio qui permet de voir le signal pulseaudio dans jack.
Je table plutôt sur un soucis de sauvegarde des niveaux de la carte son.

Lorsque je démarre Qasmixer après avoir démarré Jack sur ma carte son je n'ai qu'un seul réglage de master qui me donne le niveau donné par le système (icône son de la barre des tâches).

Lorsque tu démarres Ardour, tu le démarres sur ALSA ou sur JACK ? Si c'est sur JACK, tu le démarres avant (par exemple avec qjackctl) ou tu paramètres JACK directement avec Ardour ?

Je démarre Ardour sur Jack que je démarre avant avec qjackctl.

Je vous met également mes connexions Jack au cas où juste avec un fichier son importé sur Ardour.

Autre hypothèse que je soumets en temps que néophyte. D'habitude quand j'utilise Jack, une fois ma session d'enregistrement terminée, je dois redémarrer ma session pour pouvoir regarder des vidéos etc. Maintenant, lorsque je sors de Jack je n'ai plus besoin de redémarrer ma cession pour regarder d'autres médias ? Y aurai-t-il un problème de conflit avec Pulse Audio ?
Probablement pas de problème de conflit étant donné que Jack fonctionne avec ma carte son interne...
Je suis allé voir les contrôles d'entrées et sorties sur Windows, tout était bon, aucune sortie ni entrée mutée. Donc à moins que les niveaux se mettent automatiquement à 0 lorsque je branche ma carte sous Ubuntu... J'ai du mal à voir quelle pourrait être la raison.

Je vais l'essayer sous Ubuntu studio en Live Usb pour voir si j'ai les mêmes problèmes.

J'avais eu une blague dans le genre.

A tout hasard, ouvre alsamixer en ligne de commande et regarde si les canaux ne sont pas en "mute". Si c'est le cas il y a écrit MM dans le canal. Il faut appuyer la touche m pour changer ça.

Je l'ai déjà fait, comme je l'ai déjà dit, je n'ai aucun canal d'entrée sur alsamixer, seulement des canaux de sortie ADAT et SPDIF que je n'utilise pas...

D'autre part, je viens de l'essayer sous Ubuntu Studio, le même problème se pose...
D'ailleurs, je ne comprends pas pour quoi je n'ai pas accès à ces canaux (sur Ubuntu et Ubuntu Studio), alors que selon cette page je devrais avoir tout de même quelques contrôles...

J'ai fait un reset d'usine sur la carte grâce au logiciel windows fourni. Toujours pas de son...

Ça paraît étrange. As-tu regardé ce qu'il se passait dans dmesg ? Que se passe-t'il si tu débranches/rebranches l'interface de son port USB ? As-tu la possibilité d'essayer plusieurs ports USB sur la machine ?

J'ai l'impression qu'il n'y a pas de problèmes de ce côté là. J'ai déjà débranché, rebranché l'interface, changé de ports toujours la même chose.
J'ai deux possibilités dans le champ "Interface" de QJackCTL mais les deux fonctionnent de la même manière (après redémarrage de Jack).

D'autre part, j'arrive désormais à avoir les contrôles de niveau sur QasMixer :

Concernant l'article de la Doc, je viens de me rendre compte qu'il existe deux générations de la Scarlett 18i8, peut-être y a-t-il des problèmes avec cette deuxième générations...

Ça m'embêterait quand même de devoir installer un dual boot windows pour faire fonctionner ma carte...
Mais c'est quand même un monde que la carte fonctionnait parfaitement lors du premier branchement... Quelque chose doit m'échapper.

Pour le reste, si tu as la possibilité d'essayer avec plusieurs noyaux, essaie avec le noyau le plus récent à disposition, puis remonte en arrière.

Les deux possibilités données par Jack sont hw:USB,0 USB Audio (hw 1, 0) et hw:USB Scarlett 18i8 USB (hw 1).
J'ai essayé avec mes noyaux disponibles dans le GRUB, pas de changement...

Histoire de voir s'il s'agit de quelque chose de général, ou bien s'il s'agit d'une spécificité Ubuntu, peux-tu essayer avec un live ? Par exemple LibraZiK.
