Préliminaire
Si vous ne disposez pas d'une distribution musicale incluant Ardour, vous devrez installer Ardour et les éléments nécessaires à son bon fonctionnement.
Ce chapitre n'explique pas comment compiler Ardour, mais comment l'installer si vous n'en disposez pas dans votre distribution.
De façon générale, pour installer Ardour, vous devez disposer :
- d'un noyau temps réél
- de Jack
- de Freebob ou FFADO si vous disposez d'une carte son Firewire
Installation sous les différentes distributions
Ubuntu
Nom des paquets nécessairesSi vous installez via l'installateur adpet ou synaptic dans votre menu système vous devrez installer les paquets suivants :
- linux-rt : noyau temps réel et certaines dépendances comme les modules idoines.
- jackd : le serveur de son temps réel
- ardour2 : le logiciel ardour lui même
- freebob : libfreebob0
En ligne de commande

apt-get install linux_rt jackd ardour2 freebob

I built JACK 0.116.1 (with FFADO 2.0~rc1) and Ardour 2.8.2 for Hardy.
You can find the .debs in my ppa.

If you install it and everything works well be sure to add a comment to
the appropriate bugs saying so:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/hardy-backports/+bug/312613
Adding comments to the appropriate bug let's the backporters know
the .debs work and can push the fix into hardy-backports for everyone to
update.
