1. Présentation

Openartist est une distribution dédiée à la production graphique/audio/vidéo extrèmement complète. Elle est basée sur ubuntu 8.04 avec des emprunts à Intrepid, Jaunty, PureDyne, Debian, Mint, et quelques distributions à base de rpm.

2. Démarrage/installation

  • Le système démarre sur le live-cd. Certains lecteurs cd usb ne sont pas reconnus par grub.
  • Une fois openartist opérationnelle, l'installation est possible en cliquant sur l'icone INSTALL qui se trouve sur le bureau. L'installation est simple et assez rapide. Il est néanmoins recommandé de garder pour l'installation l'utilisateur tux, avec mot de passe tux.
  • Création d'utilisateur:
Par défault le système se connecte avec l'utilisateur tux, mot de passe tux. Pour le super-utilisateur, c'est aussi le mot de passe tux.
Il est possible de créer de nouveaux utilisateurs soit avec l'outil intégré à gnome, soit avec la commande adduser.
Une fois loggé, il ne faut pas oublier d'ajouter manuellement l'utilisateur aux différents groupes : adduser toto group1 && adduser toto group2 , etc...
Si le gestionnaire graphique n'affiche rien, il est possible de passer par la ligne de commande : cat /etc/group, repérer les groupes dont fait partie tux, et ajouter le nouvel utilisateur dans les groupes désirés par la ligne de commande.
Ne pas oublier évidemment d'ajouter l'utilisateur dans les groupes audio, video, qui peuvent être indispensables pour une distribution mao !!

3. Astuces et dépannage

  • Il y a quelques incertitudes avec les lanceurs, et donc parfois il faut essayer les programmes en ligne de commande, avec le début du nom, puis compléter avec la touche TAB. Par exemple pour ardour qui ne se lance pas par défaut, il faut taper ardourvst.
  • Pour le clavier français, il faut éditer xorg.conf ET xorg.conf.failsafe en cas de probleme (pris sur le forum openartist).
