Clavier MIDI et portable

Je viens de m'acheter un clavier MIDI M-Audio KeyStation 49e qui est un clavier bas de gamme.
Je l'ai essayé sous MacOSX avec Garageband mais visiblement Garageaband ne fait pas éditeur de partition c'est donc Rosegarden qui m'intéresse.
Sur mon portable, je n'ai pas de port MIDI, mais je pensais que je pouvais brancher mon clavier en USB et que le tour était joué. Je suis tout débutant en MIDI... Si quelqu'un peut m'expliquer...
La quand je tape fluidsynth j'ai ça
ALSA lib seq_hw.c:456:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory
