1 - Présentation

moi, en anglais (dave phillips)

Dave Phillips here. I write articles about Linux audio.

http://linux-sound.org/dp-lj-articles.html

I also occasionally maintain this site:

http://linux-sound.org

I apologize for posting in English. I read French well enough to read almost everything on this site, but I can't write or speak it well at all. I'm better with Latin, in case anyone wants to exchange messages in that language. 😊

LMAO is an excellent site. My compliments to the chefs.

Best regards,

Hi Dave and welcome to LinuxMAO's web's community !

Let me said that I'm happy to meet you here. 😎

As an user, I already have many occasions to read your name throughout the web. I need to say you a big thanks for this work !

As an administrator, I can point you a specific manual's page of our website : the draft of the monthly edito. It's a collective writing editorial about LinuxMAO's world (MAO = Musique Assistée par Ordinateur = Music Assisted by Computer) that I create one year ago, for publish every month (approximatively in a new month's begin) a general point of view about Linux and MAO. Be sure that we'll be happy if you want to contribute together (pianolivier, jy_moustache, Autostatic, me, many others ...) on this direction.

As a basic human, I share mind's state with pianolivier : my internal voice said Wahou ... Dave Philipps ? Good news for us ! But what he's going to search here ? Just a curious inscription ? Or maybe he want to collaborate ? So please, feel free to talk about all projects about make stuffs together.

Voilou (ie = that's all for now😉)
and once again, welcome on LinuxMAO 😎
Olivier

PS : sorry for bad english but ... ... ... I'm french 😉

Meilleures salutations,

Dave Phillips

Greetings,

First, I thank you all for the warm welcome to Linux MAO. I post this message in a French translation and in its English original to be sure of my meaning.

I'm here because I'm always interested in Linux audio activity wherever I find it. I can read Italian and French without too much trouble, and I can read some German with a
dictionary, but I have no ability to speak or write those languages. I apologize in advance if my messages aren't always comprehensible, I'm at the mercy of translation software.

I would like to help Linux MAO and will look at the various pages and other materials some of you have mentioned. Alas, I have a very busy schedule and will probably appear here at odd moments to check in and see what's going on in MAO's part of the world.

Once again, I thank you for your greetings. I look forward to learning more about Linux MAO over the next few weeks.

Best regards,

Maybe you can show us a link when you write an article about Linux and audio-software's ecology. You can put it on this forum : "Albums/concerts/assoces/évènements" which is dedicaced to annoncing some stuffs like :
  • news album create with libres softwares,
  • some concerts,
  • association with another people,
  • and events.
Once again, I thank you for your greetings. I look forward to learning more about Linux MAO over the next few weeks.
